Zoladex® (goserelin) 3.6mg implants will be discontinued in Australia from November 2026.

The Endometriosis Coalition is aware of the announcement that Zoladex® (goserelin) 3.6mg implants will be discontinued in Australia from November 2026.

We understand this news may be concerning for people currently using Zoladex as part of their endometriosis treatment. The discontinuation is a commercial decision by the manufacturer and is not related to any new safety, quality, or efficacy concerns regarding the medication. AstraZeneca has advised that the decision forms part of a global strategy to reduce dose options in some countries. The discontinuation is not related to the safety or efficacy of Zoladex.

We encourage anyone currently prescribed Zoladex to speak with their treating healthcare professional about their individual treatment plan and any alternative management options that may be available.

The Endometriosis Coalition will continue to monitor the situation, engage with key stakeholders, and advocate for timely access to safe, effective, and affordable treatment options for all Australians living with endometriosis and pelvic pain.
